The Tessari family has been living and cultivating the land in Fittà, a small rural village mounted like a precious stone on the hills of Soave Classico, since the ninteenth century. The history of Suavia begins in 1982, when Giovanni and Rosetta, aware of the great potential of their area, decided to set up on their own winery, crushing their grapes and making their own wine. In 2001, Meri and Valentina Tessari, then in their early 20s, took over the winery. Since then, the sisters have more than tripled their vineyard acreage and installed irrigation wells to support their vineyards in increasingly hot summers. Today the three Tessari sisters, Meri, Valentina and Alessandra, carry on the family tradition and run the winery in Fittà, where it all started.

Straw yellow with green reflections.
Reveals fresh fragrances of fruits and white flowers accompanied by vegetal and mineral notes.
Juicy and balanced, salinity combines with freshness and softness.
Excellent as an aperitif, it accompanies appetizers and dishes based on vegetables and fish. It also goes very well with the light flavour of white meats and with fresh or short-aged cheeses.
Soave according to Suavia. It is a wine for flowered terraces and summer nights. It is a profoundly italian wine. Suavia's idea of soave: fresh, fruity, easy to drink but with an unmistakable character at the same time.
SUavia is in the northern part of the Soave Classico region; here, from vineyards located on various hillsides, they harvest the grapes to produce this wine. The exposures are the most varied and the average altitude is around 300 meters. The soil is of volcanic origin with different textures. The average age of the Garganega vines in this area is at least 40 years.

"Respected Italian exporter Neil Empson has been unearthing wine gems from his Milano base for nearly three decades. Years ago, he spoke of Suavia Soave as a wine he places “on a similar level to Soave superstar Pieropan.” Unlike most Soave that contains a considerable percentage of trebbiano, the Suavia is made entirely from garganega, and is stainless steel fermented. The fruit comes from 60 year old vines grown over 12 hectares of multiple vineyard sites containing calcareous and volcanic soils. The nose and flavours are a mix of lime juice, citrus, and salinity, with a twist of butter that is simple and delicious. The back label says it all: it’s a wine for bars with umbrellas and tables on the cobbles of an old illuminated piazza. Pour me a bottle of spring pasta, or fresh seafood." - Anthony Gismondi

"The 2021 Soave Classico wafts up with a wildly fresh bouquet, blending sweet smoke with crushed rocks, pear and lemon oil. It's silky and refined, ripe in style, yet perfectly balanced with lime-tinged orchard fruits and a touch of exotic inner florals toward the close. The 2021 cleans up beautifully, crisp and refreshing with a mineral tinge, adding tension as chamomile hints slowly taper off."

"Packaged in a squat, screw-cap bottle, the Suavia 2021 Soave Classico is an organic expression of 100% Garganega. The unoaked wine is shy to open, but it does peel back eventually to various citrus aromas. Lemon curd and white rose cede to crushed flint stone that recalls the volcanic soils found in these vineyards. It offers medium density and balanced freshness. Production is 130,000 bottles, and you get excellent value."

It finds a balanced middle ground between succulent ripe fruits and zesty acids, as its silken textures soothe the palate.
