Don Francisco Undurraga was among Chile's winemaking pioneers. In 1885, he personally brought vines from France and Germany to plant on his estate 34 kilometers from Santiago, in the heart of the Maipo Valley. The winery has been a pioneer in exploring the emergent Chilean valleys of Colchagua and Leyda, creating quality wines that appeal to a broad range of consumers.

"The approachable and easy-to-drink 2015 Sibaris Cabernet Sauvignon from Maipo has changed its profile and reduced the influence of the oak in the wine. It's a good entry to Cabernet from the classical zone. It has the spicy and herbal notes, a touch of licorice and a soft texture. Very approachable. 250,000 bottles produced."

"Uncomplicated berry and plum aromas are easy to process. This everyday Cabernet feels complete despite showing rubbery grabby tannins. Lightly herbal plum and berry flavors finish tight, bright and fresh."

"Some attractive blackberry and stone character on the nose and palate. Medium to full body, firm tannins and a fresh finish. No nonsense cabernet. Drink now."
