Light salmon pink.
An intense nose of red fruits, raspberries and blackberries.
White cherry, strawberry and cherry flavours. Slightly tart with a generous mouthfeel and a chalky, wet stone finish.
Enjoy with white meats and BBQs, nicoise salad, fresh seafood.
The soils are highly typical of the appellation with large smooth stones from alluvial deposits from the Rhone and Durance Rivers on a clay limestone subsoil.
The grapes are harvested at optimal maturity and always de-stemmed. After a cold maceration from 4-7 hours to obtain good colour intensity, the liquid is racked from the tank. The alcohol fermentation begins after the wine's cold temperature control in order to favour the wine's fruitful expression.
2017 -
"Pretty, with creamy peach and white cherry fruit flavors. Light stone and herb echoes show on the finish, though the fruit detail easily holds way overall. Grenache and Syrah. Drink now. 10,000 cases made."
2017 -
"A pale hued blend of 75% Grenache and 25% Syrah, the 2017 Costieres de Nimes Rose is medium-bodied and silky in texture, but it lacks flavor intensity, offering only faint notes of melon, citrus and berry. Tasted twice, with consistent results."
