Intense purple notes.
Aromas of black fruits and wild herbs prevail on the nose.
A fine wine which is elegant and well structured with good volume and a long finish.
Pairs well with grilled lamb, Cote de Boeuf, cheeses from the south of France and Onion tarte.
The work in the vineyards is as natural as possible in accordance with the criteria of organic agriculture and the domaine received official certification from the 2008 vintage. No chemical fertlizers, herbicides or pesticides are used to treat the soils or the vines.
Ploughing and weeding are practiced according to the blocks and the yields we desire. Vines are treated with copper sulphate and sulphur occasionally blended with a nettle infusion/tea (4 to 5 times a year). Only organic fertlizer is used.
2015 -
"Already bottled, the 2015 Cotes du Rhone (100% Grenache) is medium-bodied and juicy, with plenty of Bing cherry, blueberry and strawberry aromas and flavors. It’s a rounded, fruit-forward 2015 to drink in its youth."
2012 -
"A fleshy, fruit-loaded effort that delivers on all account, Cristia's 2012 Cotes du Rhone offers up plenty of underbrush, sweet raspberry, mint, currant and licorice aromas and flavors to go with a soft, supple mouth feel that's hard to resist. I don't think it will make old bones, but it's a superb Cotes du Rhone that will dish out plenty of pleasure over the coming 2-3 years." (#209)
