In 2022, their Beaujolais Villages was a blend of three sites, including one of the newer crus Régnié, which may explain its medium-dark colour. The nose is slightly muted with a dry, earthy tone and sour cherry with a pinch of wild raspberries in the back end. The texture is soft, and it is ready to drink. "The 2016 Beaujolais-Villages is an appreciable step up over Jadot's regular Beaujolais, and it's a very attractive wine, opening in the glass with notes of ripe cherries, pomegranate, subtle licorice and dried herbs. Hearty in style, on the palate it's medium to full-bodied, with good concentration and depth at the core, framed by some youthfully chewy tannins and underpinned by succulent acids. For the exceedingly modest tariff it commands, this is really quite serious and I'd be inclined to give it another 6-12 months in the cellar before pulling corks."

"This is one of the better vintages that I can recall, a lively, balanced gamay with lifted floral/red rose, strawberry/currant fruit and subtle herbal shadings of pepper and bay leaf. It's light to mid-weight, fresh, firm and juicy almost to tartness, with very fine tannin. The length is very good. It could use a light chill, but has such fine aromatics and balance I wouldn't want to dumb it down. Classic Beaujolais. Tasted Sept 2015"
