Maison Louis Jadot’s story can’t be reduced to a simple list of dates. It is, above all, a summary of moments, meetings and an overall philosophy, all based on one simple vision: to maintain the grandeur of Burgundy’s great terroirs for all time.
It all began with a parcel of vines. And we all know just how important these individual bits of land are in Burgundy. It was with the purchase of the Beaune Premier Cru Clos des Ursules that the story of Maison Louis Jadot began in 1826. For nearly 200 years they have focused their energies on promoting Burgundy and its viticultural heritage. Ever since the birth of Maison Louis Jadot, they have managed to reunite hundreds of parcels of vines, handing them down from one generation to another in order to guarantee the quality of the wines from this unique terroir.

Aromas of pear, toasted nuts and orange peel.
A full-bodied wine that is harmonious on the palate, with fruit balanced by zippy acidity and a lingering finish.
Pairs well with goat cheese, cod in a coconut sauce and popcorn.
This clos is located in the heart of the village of Meursault. The vineyard is oriented East. Cromin comes from the old Burgundy word "Crots", the name of an old quarry: the Cromey Quarry. The vines are planted close to the mother rock and produce intense and fresh wines. Grapes are harvested by hand and put in small cases in order not to damage the fruits. Grapes are pressed softly, they ferment in oak barrels produced by our cooperage. 1/3 are new barrels. Aging usually lasts 15 months on fine lies before bottling.
2020 -
"The 2020 Meursault Clos du Cromin has a pretty, pressed flower and resin-tinged bouquet, touches of lime and kiwi fruit developing in the glass. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, taut and fresh with a saline finish. Fine. Closure: Diam"
2019 -
"The 2019 Meursault Clos du Cromin has a nuanced bouquet that takes time to unfold, scents of beeswax and honeysuckle eventually emerging. The palate is balanced with a tropical-toned entry of pineapple and passion fruit. It lacks a bit of tension, although it is partially compensated by a pleasant spicy finish. Drink over the next 6–8 years."
