Abruzzo, Italy

Cantina Spinelli currently produces DOC and IGT Abruzzo wines, 65% of which are exported. We keep tradition alive in our love and respect of our land and its products. For the rest, the company now uses advanced growing, production and ageing techniques. The vinification process takes place according to all the rules that guide the production of quality wines, which are continuously improved with the help of skilled oenologists throughout Italy. Local grape varieties – such as Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, Pecorino, Passerina, Cococciola – are our pride. Our whole history is linked to the enhancement of traditional regional wines. The company uses underground rooms for wine storage and finishing, where natural temperature ranges between 18 and 22°c. A new room was created in 1999 and is used for refining and ageing wines (mainly red wines) in Slavonian oak barrels. The growing appreciation we receive from our customers is most certainly the best confirmation we could get for the quality of our work. We are also proud of the numerous awards that our wines won in the past few years at the most important international competitions in the industry. We are also proud that our work has helped the wines and the flavours of our region gain ground from Europe to America, Asia and Oceania. It is just our way of being: never far from our land, always close to the world.
