Nathalie Bonhomme brings to the world of wine a vast knowledge of Spanish wines, with the outlook of an ex-pat Canadian. This unique combination allows her to find some of the best wines, both in quality and value, targeted to a Canadian consumer. Under the kind tutoring of winemakers Rafael Cambra in Valencia and Miguel Gil in Jumilla she has begun making her own wine, "El Bonhomme" and "El Petit Bonhomme".

Verdejo is a food-friendly wine, try it with grilled salmon, seared scallops, lemon chicken or a fresh tomato and olive salad.
100% Verdejo, fifty-year old bush vines planted on gravelly and sandy alluvial soils with a small amount of clay. Cold and controlled tank fermented, gentle pneumatic pressing to gather all the primary fine aromas. The wine rested 20 % in French new oak for 4 months accompanied by impeccable work with the lees and gentle rackings. This wine is Certified Vegan.

Top 100 Wines of 2017 "Delicious, crackling, snappy. Made from 100% Verdejo from Rueda (a truly underappreciated variety and region) this crisp white offers snappy citrus aromas, crunchy white fruits and ripe golden nectarine, star fruit and straw flowers. It is tangy and lively in the mouth with similar crackling fruit lifted by just a kiss of sweetness. A wonderful patio quaffer or pair with salads, seafood or olives, bread and cheese."

"Canadian Nathalie Bonhomme is behind this 100 percent verdejo made in collaboration with Miguel Gil of Bodegas Juan Gil. The 2016 Blanco is particularly fruity with fresh, peachy mango fruit and nutty nectarine. Fresh, well-made, ready-to-drink white for seafood or summer salads. Super value."
2016 -
"Intense tropical fruits on the nose with peach and ripe mango character. Extremely fresh. The palate has plenty of attractive, easy-going tropical fruit. Drink now. Screw cap."
2015 -
"A very good Spanish white made from Verdejo, both herbaceous and floral, lively palate, with bite. Dry, above the market, perfect both as an aperitif table."
"Across the Pyrénées, Canadian Nathalie Bonhomme continues to impress us with her refreshing Spanish wines led by a delicious summer sipper made from Verdejo. El Petit Bonhomme Blanco, (Rueda $13.49) comes with a grassy, nutty, nectarine skin aroma with a slightly softer rounder mix of melon and apple flavours. Good for sushi, or serve with simply prepared seafood dishes."
"Ripe citrus fruit, peach, honeydew, golden apple and floral notes emerge from the glass of this delicious white, leading to a juicy plate with crisp acidity."
