More Info

The soils are highly typical of the appellation with large smooth stones from alluvial deposits from the Rhone and Durance Rivers on a clay limestone subsoil.
Grapes are harvested when ripe and de-stemmed immediately. Maceration lasts 18-20 days with perfect temperature control and careful extraction of the aromatic and polyphenolic elements (pumping over and delestage). When malolactic fermentation is complete, the wines are racked twice and blended. They are then left to mature for 8 months before being bottled.

James Suckling, Jan/2025

"A flavorful, dense and well-built blend of syrah and grenache. On the nose it has notes of sweet cherries, dried flowers and sweet spices, following through to a full body with fine, firm tannins. Juicy center palate with a fine-grained texture on the edges and a flavorful finish of excellent length. Drink or hold."

" Floral scents underscore the freshness of this wine's purple fruit, mouthwatering in its clarity and simplicity."

Winnipeg Free Press, Nov/2023

2019 -

" A 75-25 blend of Syrah and Grenache, this southwestern Rhône Valley red is deep garnet in color and offers peppery and earthy aromas along with blackberry, cherry, violet and blueberry notes. It's full-bodied, juicy and viscous, with loads of dark berry notes coming from the Grenache that work well with the meaty, cherry and peppery Syrah characteristics. Tannins and acidity are both modest, offering a rustic component to this fun, approachable red."

Top 100 Best Buys of 2020 "A label from the Vignerons Propretes Associes cooperative, this blend of syrah and grenache (80/20) wins on the bright, clean, precise flavors. There's no oak to get in the way of syrah's violet scents and black-pepper spice, or to mask the cherry-juicy tang of the grenache. The clarity allows the wine to sing, vibrant and pure."

Gismondi on Wine, Aug/2021

"From Southern France's Vignerons Propriétés Associés co-op, this full-bodied blend of 75% syrah and 25% grenache comes from the Costières-de-Nîmes. Soft and plush on the palate, with lightly smoked blackberries, dark cherry jam, cassis, framed with soft tannins, and finishing with peppery spice and a tightening bitter black fruit / espresso note. Simple, plumped red for summer and fall BBQs." - Treve Ring
