More Info

Rias Baixas boasts a number of high-quality grapes; chief among them is Albarino, occupying more than 90% of the DO's vineyard area. The soils are largely granite, with some chalk and clay. The earth here offers lots of minerals but few nutrients, making it perfect for wine-growing. Old vineyards planted in Pergola system, traditional from this area, produce the grapes of Albarino with a high level of acidity given the proximity with the Atlantic ocean and the high level of rains, this wine will continue to develop complexity with the bottle age.

Tom Firth, Making the Case: Getting High on Acid, Culinaire Magazine, Mar/2017

2014 -

"A wonderfully sexy and exciting white wine. Lifted and focused tropical fruits of quince and pear, with a mild nuttiness and steely mineral tones. Made from 100 percent albariño, it's interesting, tasty and shows a lovely lavel of acid balance. Pair with shellfish or seared scallops."

“Pale gold. Spicy pear and lemon on the nose, with candied ginger and chalky mineral qualities carrying onto the palate. Pliant lemon curd and pear flavours are enlivened by dusty minerality and a hint of bitter quinine. The clean, tangy finish shows good clarity and a subtle touch of tarragon.”
